To help you make the most of Alerts, we've provided a list of standard fields that you can include in your Alert emails. 

A combination of plain text and these parameters will provide contextual information in your Alert email subject and body, so you (or the recipient) will know exactly why they're getting a notification 😄

This is what you start off with when you're configuring your Alert (hit the "email" button in the Actions section to configure your email): 

The Subject of the email (above) defaults to the name you've given the Alert, {AlertName} and some text (e.g. "Open Corrective Action Alert Triggered"). 

The Body of the email is an extension of this, which also includes the {Name} (also known as the Short Description field on your Form/Memo/Action), the Project Number and the Project Name. 

You might want to make your email something more like this:

Here's a list of fields you can choose from to customise your Alert: 

{AlertName} the name you've given your Alert

{Name} also known as the "Short Description"

{Project} the name of the Project that the Form/Memo/Action belongs to

{ProjectNumber} the Project Number

{Template} the name of your Form/Memo/Action

{SequenceNumber}, the unique number assigned to your Form/Memo/Action after it's Saved to the project (Drafts don't have a Sequence Number)

{WBSItem}, a hierarchical field that is typically used to denote where the work fits in the project's work structure.

{OwnedBy} the name of the user who owns the Form/Memo/Action (defaults to the creator)

{DateRaised} the Date Raised field, which defaults to the date the Form/Memo/Action was created.

{Status} for example, Draft, Open, Closed.

{CreatedAt} the date and time that the record was created

{UpdatedAt} the date and time that the record was updated

{Link} this will take a logged in user to the Form/Memo/Action record  

{LinkPDF} this links to the Form/Memo/Action PDF, if it exists.
